Get Ahead of the Game
At Inman Park Pediatric Dentistry, preventative services allow Dr. Camp to stop any potential oral health issues before they start!
Age 1 Dental Visit & Finding a Dental Home
Did you know that the American Academy of Pediatrics and Pediatric Dentistry recommend that children establish a dental home before their first birthday? Dr. Camp and the Inman Park Pediatric Dentistry team provide personalized care for every child they see.
At your child’s first visit, we’ll review their early dental development and give you the knowledge to establish healthy oral practices. We often conduct this exam in the parent or guardian’s lap to help your child feel comfortable and secure.
Individualized Dental Care
Every child is unique, and at Inman Park Pediatric Dentistry, their dental care will be unique, too! Every service your child receives will be tailored specifically to their smile.
To Dr. Camp and the team, your child is not just a number - each child and their family is like our family. We look forward to establishing trust and confidence with our patients and their family that will last a lifetime.
Digital X-rays
Dental radiographs (X-rays) are an essential tool that allows Dr. Camp to get a more thorough look at your child’s mouth. With these images, we can spot things that may not be noticed upon visual examination only.
Since children grow so quickly, more X-rays may be necessary than for adults. We use digital X-rays that allow for safer diagnosis with less radiation than traditional X-rays. They also help us detect dental decay in the earliest stages when we can take care of the problem before treatment is necessary!
Fluoride Varnish
Fluoride varnish helps to provide extra protection and strengthens the enamel of your child’s teeth, especially when used after their dental cleaning. This is a liquid or gel that is applied in less than two minutes and hardens when saliva touches it.
The sticky covering is typically tooth-colored and your child can eat right away - just be sure to avoid food or drinks that are very hot. The varnish can be brushed away after a few hours and leaves your child’s teeth stronger and healthier than ever!
Silver Diamine Fluoride
This innovative treatment is an effective and less-invasive measure used to stop the growth of tooth decay. Silver Diamine Fluoride is an antimicrobial liquid that Dr. Camp will paint over the cavity and can be used for both primary and permanent teeth.
This treatment is a quick, safe, and effective alternative to the traditional drilling and filling method for very young patients or those who are fearful of the dentist. It often requires multiple applications to achieve the best results, however, it is affordable and pain-free!
Dental Sealant
A dental sealant is a protective white or clear coating that Dr. Camp places on the pits and grooves of permanent molars (the teeth in the back).
Dental sealants help make the chewing surfaces on molars smoother, which helps prevent food and bacteria from getting trapped inside the tooth crevices, ultimately preventing cavities and decay.
